TOWGlider Towing
The glider towing rating allows you to tow sailplanes with powered aircraft or TMG.
Regulatory reference: FCL.805
Requirements
- Licence with privileges on aeroplanes or TMG
- At least 30 hours as PIC and 60 take-offs/landings on aeroplanes/TMG after the issue of the licence
The Course
- Theoretical instruction on towing operations
- At least 5 flights on a sailplane
- At least 10 towing flights, of which at least 5 with an instructor
Privileges
- Towing sailplanes
Validity and renewal
Remains valid by performing at least 5 tows in the last 24 months.
